New Beginners
Hamilton Tae Kwon-Do
For Kids:

Kids don't usually stress like adults do, but if your fledgling martial artist is feeling nervous, just bring 'em on down! Kids under twelve start in a class of all beginners, and they move through the ranks as a group. Hamilton Tae Kwon-Do also has a no tolerance policy on bullying. Our students learn the five tenets of Tae Kwon-Do: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Through martial arts training, they build self-confidence, discipline, and friendships that last.


Hello! We're so excited you want to train with us. Here are a few things to keep in mind on your first day:
  • Come a few minutes early so you can fill out a new student form.
  • Wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in.
  • Be ready to take off your shoes and socks.
  • Don't worry!

We know it can be nerve-wracking to do something you've never done before. But don't stress. Everyone in our classes, including our instructors, were beginners once too. No one is going to judge you! Also, don't think you need to get in shape before coming to class. Many people begin martial arts training specifically to get in shape. Whether you're here to learn self-defense, reap the health benefits, or just take up a new hobby, our class has a pace for everyone. Young to old, couch potato to athlete, picture of health to recovering from illness or injury, everyone has something to gain from the study of martial arts.
